Transportation Agency Urges Mass Participants to Use Public Transportation

Jakarta Transportation Agency and PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) support the community and the Great Mass congregation that will be attended by Pope Francis at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium, Central Jakarta on September 5, 2024.

Jakarta Transportation Agency Head, Syafrin Liputo, appealed the congregation from Jakarta and outside Jakarta to use public transports such as MRT Jakarta and Transjakarta.

"Transjakarta routes around the Gelora Bung Karno are adjusted based on the event," he said, Tuesday (9/3).

The following is a list of codes and names of Transjakarta service routes that will operate around the GBK area during the Great Mass, with the categories of Integrated Public Transportation and Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) services:

- 1F (Stasiun Palmerah-Bundaran Senayan)

- 1N (Tanah Abang-Blok M)

- 1P (Senen-Blok M)

- 4C (Pemuda Merdeka-Bundaran Senayan)

- 6D (Stasiun Tebet-Bundaran Senayan)

- 6M (Stasiun Manggarai-Blok M)

- 8N (Kebayoran Lama-Petamburan)

- 1 (Blok M-Kota)

- 9 (Pinang Ranti-Pluit)

- 10H (Tanjung Priok-Bundaran Senayan)

- 3F (Kalideres-Senayan Bank DKI)

It is hoped that the adjustment will facilitate transportation access for those who wish to attend the Great Mass.

"The public is advised to pay attention to the latest information regarding Transjakarta services through official channels so that travel plans can be adjusted properly," he appealed.
